Typical of the North Carolina Association of Historians, the Journal brings together diverse historical interests that represent historians throughout North Carolina and beyond. This diversity makes the JNCAH unique. Unlike many scholarly journals, JNCAH does not restrict itself to North Carolina history, nor to a specific field, period or methodology of historical inquiry (social, military, economic, political, public, ethnohistorical, et al). Thus, the content of the Journal of the NCAH is as varied as the Association.
