This volume contains contributions to the study of regional history, specifically North Carolina’s role as a participant in the Civil War Blockade Running. The volume continues its contribution to History education with a journey through and lessons learned from the corroboration of historical resources. Typical of the Association, the Journal brings together diverse historical interests that represent historians throughout North Carolina and beyond. This diversity makes the JNCAH unique. Unlike many scholarly journals, JNCAH does not restrict itself to North Carolina history, nor to a specific field, period or methodology of historical inquiry (social, military, economic, political, public, ethnohistorical, et al). Thus, the content of the Journal of the NCAH is as varied as the Association.
